Hello Rosemary! Well, because of the recession, selling online is quite tough at the moment, it does help to have a blog, network with other artists, belong to an artists' group locally and have all possible venues to exhibit and getting the word out, and be visible. With a website it is down to targeted traffic, keywords, and ways to retain visitors on your site and create the need to purchase your work.
I hope this helps! Have a great weekend and do let me know if you need advice/tips, I will do my best, Paola

Hello Rosemary! How lovely to hear from you! Recently I have been doing some experimental 3D crochet, no pattern, as usual, just fun, like sketching with a yarn. I have dedicated more time to taking photographs and drawing, as you will see on my Flickr RSS, (http://www.flickr.com/photos/meanmagenta)
Like you we are stuck and cannot yet sell our property and move on, what a pain! Are you planning to live permanently in Geneva?
Speak to you soon, keep up the great work! Have a Fab and creative weekend! Paola

R.,
Do not fear. I think after teaching 45 children on Spring Break for over 8 hours today, that I am not sure how to turn on the Computer. Glad you're part of the Hot and Wet Group.
I am now going to get myself a nice cold glass of pinot grigio and take my shoes off.

Hello Rosemary! Great to hear from you! I visited Geneva, which I find utterly charming! I love Switzerland because of the dramatic landscape and mountains, and I daydream about owning a typical chalet where I can live and create art in a peaceful and beautiful setting!
Feel free to communicate with me when you feel like, I am also on Skype (ID: meanmagenta), we can also have some French conversation, how about that?
Keep up the good work and speak to you soon, all the best, Paola

Free Vintage Paper Doll Pattern

Karen's Whimsey has this free Paper Doll pattern on her website.  Clothing for the doll also available.  Images are in the public domain.

American Folk Art Doll Pattern

This doll pattern and other folk patterns can be purchased at Cloth Doll Supply.  Their description:

HISTORICAL FOLK DOLL #11
The New York Doll

This 16" doll has made herself quite famous by being chosen to be on the cover of a well-known book of American Folk Dolls, by Wendy Lavitt. She is such a good doll for a cover as she has just about all the best details of this type of doll. Separate fingers, a wonderful and exaggerated face and hair all carefully embroidered, including her remarkable feather-stitched eyebrows, and a costume of just-right simplicity and detail. She has with her the same small cat the doll in the photo has. Silkscreened for embroidery and new antiquing methods included.
Pattern (mini-kit) #PGW725 - $42.00

HOW TO MAKE LENAPE STYLE MOCCASINS
Shared by Mèssochwen Tëme

The same pattern is used for both feet so you only have to make one pattern. Once you make the pattern you're all set, and you can save it for making more moccasins in the future.
