Terri, this is very cool. I love the layering you've gotten with all the different techniques you used. It must have been so fun to do! I'll have to look at all your other photos now.... Paula

Terri, your work has echoes of some of the pieces done during a series of workshops held here at Oshiwa in Namibia during 2008 with Paula Benjaminson and her friends. I would be wonderful if you could get in touch with Paula - she currently lives ...

Thank you! I have often thought they would translate well to hats, but I've never made one. Maybe I could make one as a test and post it for you to see at some point. I'll keep in touch!

Hi,
So glad you joined "Hot and Wet."
I have been very lax in starting a new conversation for this group because I'm gearing up for teaching summer programs everyday all day long and then adults in the evenings. Probably not a good excuse for neglecting our little group but I am swamped with lesson plans.
Sooooo, go ahead and pose some question to our group and also make suggestions. Start a new conversation to jolt everyone awake. I think we all also have Spring Fever.

Glad you're on board. Fiber Focus is one of the best sites around. Wonderful people and a super list mum - Rayela.

Hi Terri, I am fairly new to Fiber Focus and found you while browsing the marketing group posts. I think your art cloths are beautiful. I love the contrast in value and hot/cool colors. Besides selling them, do you use them in any other way such as quilt making? Thank you for sharing your lovely pieces.

Hi, Terri! I just looked at your website and blog and see that you have plenty of photos to load. We have an anti-alien campaign going (see the forum post), so you are now duly tagged!

What an interesting history you have had! Life does open and close its many doors, doesn't it?

Welcome to Fiber Focus! It's exciting to see this grow so quickly! You can now personalize your page (several templates available that you can tweak), load photos (takes patience!), add videos, music and participate in the forums. There are some helpful tips under "Notes" on the front page.

This group is pretty informal. Our common ground is fiber, but we can have fun with it (as long as it is respectful of all the diversity here). Please feel free to invite your friends, too.

I'm also always looking for articles from guest artists for the blog, too, so if you like to write, let me know!

Teaching art cloth or would you prefer to buy it?

Do you want to learn how to create art cloth like this? It is several layers of dye, paint, stamping, batik and more. I teach quilters, or anyone else, how to do this without any prior art experience necessary. No washing machine nearby?
Then we can do it with a paint that acts simila… Continue
