Hi Cami, thanks for the complement on my fibers! I use acid dyes, frequently overdyeing to get the depth of color I want. They're available on ArtFire here, and the only ones that I have up that are superwash right now are the blends with seacell.
I was sitting here watching your slideshow, and there is such joy expressed in your work! It was a serendipitous moment for me. Thank you.

Hello Cami and many thanks for the invite to join. I hope you are doing well out there on the opposite end of the country!
What is the image that you have as your profile image? Gorgeous pattern and color! It looks like you have been doing a lot of felting - I love all the layers you are getting! Beautiful!

Thank you Cami. I am learning my way around this, not too good yet. I thought I'd gotten a picture of my shawl up -- not Sue, Mom and me! Horrors!!! I'll work on learning this.

Thanks, Cami! I was just teasing with that comment. I did hear a program once where they were giving examples of how private stuff was made public by accidentally hitting the "Reply All" button. Don't remember details, but it was funny at the time.

Wowzers! You have a lot of contacts! Chuckle, chuckle.... If they like us and want to be here, then they are welcome! Thank goodness you weren't saying something nasty about one of them!

Welcome, Cami! I took a look at your link- gorgeous work. Make sure you load some photos soon so other people can enjoy your work, too. By the way, your link doesn't work as you have it there. I added the .com and got it, but other people might not figure it out. You should also have it go directly to your page. Nice website! Looks like a great group of people!

Every member here has a blog which is linked to the front page. This is a nice way to introduce yourself and to keep the rest of us updated on your news. Most people seem to start bonding through the photos, but there are also groups that you can join. I don't know why nobody has started a felting one yet as there are quite a few felters here. Maybe you can start it! I know that if one is started, others will quickly join. I'm not a felter, so I haven't felt like it was my place to do it.

Would love to hear more about your time in China. Maybe you can write an article for my blog about it. Let me know if you are interested.

You can also change this page to reflect your tastes. There are many templates available which you can personalize. Jump in and make yourself at home!

Free Vintage Paper Doll Pattern

Karen's Whimsey has this free Paper Doll pattern on her website.  Clothing for the doll also available.  Images are in the public domain.

American Folk Art Doll Pattern

This doll pattern and other folk patterns can be purchased at Cloth Doll Supply.  Their description:

HISTORICAL FOLK DOLL #11
The New York Doll

This 16" doll has made herself quite famous by being chosen to be on the cover of a well-known book of American Folk Dolls, by Wendy Lavitt. She is such a good doll for a cover as she has just about all the best details of this type of doll. Separate fingers, a wonderful and exaggerated face and hair all carefully embroidered, including her remarkable feather-stitched eyebrows, and a costume of just-right simplicity and detail. She has with her the same small cat the doll in the photo has. Silkscreened for embroidery and new antiquing methods included.
Pattern (mini-kit) #PGW725 - $42.00

HOW TO MAKE LENAPE STYLE MOCCASINS

The same pattern is used for both feet so you only have to make one pattern. Once you make the pattern you're all set, and you can save it for making more moccasins in the future.
